The Staff:

The President of JUSTICE STRATEGIES is George C. Thorsen. Mr. Thorsen served with Nassau County Law Enforcement for 32 years retiring as Assistant Director of the Probation Department. He is currently on the Criminal Justice faculty at Long Island University C.W. Post Campus. Mr. Thorsen's areas of expertise are Correctional Practices and Forensic Theory. During his career Mr. Thorsen prepared and supervised the preparation of thousands of sentencing reports and treatment plans. Mr. Thorsen was named "Honorary Law Enforcement Man of the Year" in Nassau County by the Detectives' Association. He was also named "Man of the Year" by Operation Night Watch-the Nassau County Law Enforcement Partnership. Mr. Thorsen has authored and administered numerous federal and state funded grant programs focusing on areas such as Crime Control, Alternatives to Incarceration, and Domestic Violence. Mr. Thorsen holds a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from Fordham University.

Mr. Thorsen has done extensive lecturing at  educational and community venues such as Hofstra Law School, the Nassau County Criminal  Courts Bar Association and the League of Women Voters. Mr. Thorsen has provided interviews in such media outlets as Channel 7 Eye Witness News, Channel 12, WBLI, WLIR, and the COPS Nationwide Network.
 
Dr. Jennifer N. Duffy grew up in Iowa City, Iowa embracing Mid-Western values and sensibilities. The daughter of a Clinical Psychologist and Registered Nurse by nature she gravitated to the healing professions. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Psychology from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. Hofstra University's nationally renowned dual doctoral program in School and Clinical Psychology drew her to New York. Upon graduating first in her class, she started a private practice specializing in Forensics, Psycho-Educational Assessments and No-Fault employing a Cognitive - Behavioral approach to therapy. She lectures extensively and is a media consultant to Channel Two News and Fox News.

Jennifer Duffy is a frequent commentator, spokesperson and consultant on many television and radio shows. Her insight into the psychological twists and turns in the lives of the famous and infamous are well-known in the news and entertainment industry.
